About Me
Jazlyn Lindsay is a Digital Reporter and Producer for KRCG 13 in the Jefferson City/ Columbia area of Missouri. She is thrilled to have a career as a storyteller, and to be able to connect with people in the community.
Jazlyn began her career as a multimedia journalist and sports writer for Detroit PAL, a non-profit sports organization that serves over 14,000 children throughout metro Detroit. Jazlyn wrote countless feature stories on coaches and children throughout the city and covered events held by Philadelphia Eagles Brandon Graham, Detroit Lions Theo Riddick, USA Football, the Detroit Pistons, and the Detroit Tigers.
As a proud Motorcity native, Jazlyn graduated from Wayne State University in December 2017 with a bachelors degree in Communications with a specialization in Broadcast Journalism. It was at WSU where Jazlyn gained her love for broadcasting and her media experience. She started as an Associate Producer for Detroit Public Televisions' MetroArts Detroit, a student ran television show on the campus of Wayne State University. She had internships at WDET 101.9 FM Radio, along with an internship at WDIV Local 4 News as a Special Projects Producer Trainee. Jazlyn also received her associates' degree from Macomb Community College in Warren, MI.
Jazlyn is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She looks forward to improving her skills as a digital savvy journalist, serving the citizens of her community, and continuing her career as a reporter.
